Volunteering as Business Development Manager at FCBB since January 2019.
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I was born in the city of Ribeirão Preto, but also, in Brazil, I lived in Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and most of the time in Sao Paulo. I currently live in Toronto. I have been here for 10 months and have chosen this country for the quality of life and better job opportunities. For the future, I hope to reap good results and achieve Canadian citizenship.
What is the importance of being a volunteer for your personal and professional life?
For my personal life, I believe it is beneficial to a person to bring well-being to others, for me that means, to do something because you really enjoy it, regardless of rewards or payments. And for my professional life, I get experiences, increase my networking, finally, it’s just a win-win situation.
Why did you choose the FCBB to volunteer?
I chose FCBB because of the contacts I made with its members on LinkedIn and at events in Brazil, but mainly because of its value-added volunteer proposal.
In your opinion, what are the main characteristics that a FCBB volunteer needs to have?
I believe discipline and responsibility can be the key to volunteer work. Because it is necessary to treat this work with the same seriousness and importance as a regular job.
In your opinion, the best of Brazil is...
The hope that the Brazilian people have in better days, which moves them to fight day after day.
In your opinion, the best in Canada is...
Arguably the quality of life.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Visit new restaurants and go to local festivals.
Would you like to recommend a Book? Which one and why?
Outliers The Story of Success / by Malcolm Gladwell. Because it is a book about self-awareness. From people who achieve success and make a difference.

Conte-nos um pouco sobre você:
Nasci na cidade de Ribeirão Preto, mas também no Brasil morei no Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais e a maior parte em São Paulo. Atualmente moro em Toronto. Estou aqui há 10 meses e escolhi este país pela qualidade de vida e melhores oportunidades de trabalho. Para o futuro, espero colher bons frutos e conseguir a cidadania.
Qual é a importância de ser um voluntário para sua vida pessoal e profissional?
Para a vida pessoal acredito ser benéfico por trazer um bem-estar, ou seja, fazer algo porque realmente gosto, independente de recompensas. E para vida profissional obtenho experiências, aumento meu networking, enfim, só tem a agregar para ambos os lados.
Por que você escolheu a FCBB para voluntariar?
Eu escolhi a FCBB pelos contatos que eu tive com seus membros no LinkedIn e em eventos no Brasil, mas principalmente pela proposta de valor agregado ao seu voluntariado.
Na sua opinião, quais são as principais características que um voluntário da FCBB precisa ter?
Acredito que disciplina e responsabilidade podem ser a chave do trabalho voluntário. Porque é necessário tratar esse trabalho com a mesma seriedade e importância que um trabalho remunerado.

A esperança que o Brasileiro tem em dias melhores, o que os movem a lutar dia após dia.

Qualidade de vida indiscutivelmente.
